Boston Scientific Foundation has awarded more than 85 community grants and 100 medical fellowships in 2010  We have created a five-year strategic plan, POWER, designed to successfully address the future global healthcare landscape and increase profitable growth.  A key focus area of the strategy is to win global market share, particularly in the Emerging Markets.We have announced a five-year, $150 million investment in China designed to reinforce our commitment to one of the world’s largest and fastest growing medical device markets.  This investment will enable us to establish a local manufacturing facility in China and develop a world-class training centre for Chinese healthcare providers.  In addition, , we are expanding our sales force, and growing our R&D and clinical capabilities to better bring our life-saving products to customers and their patients.

Due to our start up initiative in China, we are seeking for top talents who are fluent Mandarin & English speakers to join us. A 3-6 month training program in Galway, Irelend would be offered to some positions in 2012.

Job Purpose:

To train Product Builders to SOP and all associated controlled documentation on Manufacturing Work Steps as identified by Training Needs Analysis and Department Supervisor. Document all Department training using Training Record system to accurately reflect training delivered ensuring the importance of, and commitment to Quality is highlighted at all times. Assess, evaluate and where applicable Certify Product Builders to ensure Output and Quality performance meet Production needs prior to sign off.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·   Provide department orientation for new employees.

·   Train Product Builders on manufacturing processes.

·   Maintain department training records and document training.

·   Train Product Builders to understand and use, procedures and drawings, and the importance of quality.

·   Provide on the job training, G.M.P training, I.S.O/EN training, safety training.

·   Evaluate trainee’s progress and update Operations Training Co-ordinator.

·  Understands and proactively follows through on the Environmental Management Procedures that have been identified as relevant to position.

·   High work step versatility with a demonstrated ability to learn detailed, multi-task processes with good product knowledge.

·   Demonstrated previous experience in the training of others.

·   Self starter with strong analytical and judgment skills.

·   Good organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.

·   Strong commitment to developing teamwork.

·  Needs to have the ability to listen to the views and interpretations of the people being trained, and provide feedback and answers to their queries.

·   Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements

 

 

 

Qualifications:

·  Degree Qualified in Engineering or Science

·  Strong interpersonal skills including excellent oral and written communication skills.

·  Excellent PC skills with demonstrated experience in various computer packages e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Exchange, SAP.

 

Working Conditions

·  The majority of the work will be spent on-site in an manufacturing / cleanroom environment

·  There may be a requirement as part of the role to travel to other sites.
